I. using following quick guide to find a proper peephole viewer fits your door. (door hole diameter) II. check the door thickness (if you have a thicker door), and then viewing angle. III. decide a model fits your door, and then find the door camera configuration for your home network system |
Note: Different form the Fixed-on door camera, the optical lens designed in a Detachable door camera requires 2 sets of optical lenses to make the detachable door camera removable. In general, a Fixed-on door Camera will give a better video quality comparing to that of a Detachable Door Camera. A narrow-viewing-angle camera gives a clear view comparing to that of a wide-viewing-angle camera. For example, a 90-degree camera has a clear view comparing to a 140-degree viewing angle camera. |
Check Viewing Angle |
It is better to select a peephole door camera’s viewing angle based on your front door configuration. Please refer to following recommended camera viewing angle for each room.
Please check if there is any tree, or pillar outside of your front door that blocking door camera’s viewing, and then select a door camera with a matched viewing angle.

We highly recommend you use a 90-degree viewing angle camera if you want to see a clear view of any objects distance away. Because for a large viewing-angle camera that any objects inside the video will become very small. Please check following photos for the test result of video image using cameras with different viewing angles.

If you already have an old peephole viewer fixed on door, you may simply using a coin to remove the old peephole viewer from door, and measure the door hole size, and door thickness. |
